ITSCO offers a variety of project engineering services, from the early conceptual stages, through detail design, to final commissioning with discipline support in mechanical, civil, structural, piping, electrical, and process engineering. We excel at taking abstract ideas to field operating installations.
Front End Loading
Many of our clients execute change through a staged approval process. We help our clients make good decisions and get good results by providing fast, accurate information in the early stages. ITSCO’s approach at conceptual engineering begins by engaging the site to gain a close understanding of the manufacturing process, project objectives, and the measurements of success. We work closely with key site personnel identifying the preliminary options and developing the basis of design. Our experienced staff examines each option by generating a variety of concise stage-gate documents revealing functionality, feasibility, risk, cost, and timing.
As active participants in the various reviews, we quickly revise project documents as needed and support the path forward selection process. In the latter stages of FEL, we commonly produce the project authorization documents along with tight packages for future detailed design and engineering activities.
Detail Design & Engineering
We share a vested interest in the success of the project. With experienced resources in each of the major engineering disciplines, ITSCO provides innovative yet practical and effective designs.
Our approach at detail design begins in the field, gathering area dimensions, verifying information, and noting site standardization. Our group works closely with plant personnel, project vendors, and preferred contractors to produce purchase, fabrication, and installation details - all in alignment with industry standards and/or client-specific guidelines. ITSCO work practices include periodic site reviews to ensure functionality, constructability, operability, and maintainability while always satisfying EHS expectations. Our small, knowledgeable, close-knit team can efficiently customize detail activities along with the final construction packages to match the size and needs of the project.
